Overview
Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing company, is a leading small-satellite contractor focused on rapid, reliable space mission development. As a Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) Design Intern, I designed satellite hardware and support fixtures with flotron integration in SolidWorks using Design for Manufacturability & Assembly principles. I designed and produced multiple fully-toleranced technical drawings and BOMs incorporating GD&T standards for tasks contributing to proof-load fixtures, solar array deployment hangers, and environmental testing structures. I lead with design review sessions with Lead Engineers from various sub-teams to improve and progress my preliminary designs. The collaborative, fast-paced culture pushed me to take on meaningful ownership early, work closely with senior mechanical and systems engineers, and continuously refine my technical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
